Networks

It all starts with a choice of provider networks – you can select our broad, most popular Blue Options® PPO with 98% of hospitals and 95% of doctors in North Carolina. Or choose our cost-saving, quality-based Blue High Performance Network® available in select counties.

Health plans

Select from a variety of plans, including all copay plans, traditional copay plans, tiered plans, and deductible and coinsurance. You have all these choices plus the ability to offer your employees up to 4 medical plans, so they can choose what works best for them and their families.

Alternate funding

For employers with as few as 12 eligible employees3, we also offer an alternative way to fund your plan benefits. It’s called balanced funding (YouTube video) a self-funding option for those who want added flexibility without all the risk of traditional self-insurance. You'll enjoy insight into medical expenses, potential savings, and money back for unused funds.

Ancillary benefits
